Authorities in Brooklyn are intensifying their search for four suspects after a Palestinian couple was viciously attacked last Friday. As reported by NY Daily News, the assailants, who were involved in a heated argument with the victims on Flatbush Ave. Extension near Myrtle Ave., resorted to violence while spewing anti-Palestinian slurs at around 11:57 p.m. on Oct. 25.
The encounter escalated, and the suspects allegedly punched both the 32-year-old woman and her 31-year-old companion multiple times in the face. The woman, subjected to a serious eye injury, and the man, left with a gash on his face were both rushed to Brooklyn Methodist Hospital by medics, the police stated, with surveillance footage of the men released in hopes of apprehending those responsible.
The incident, currently under investigation by the NYPD’s Hate Crime Task Force, has prompted a call for public assistance. The department is urging anyone with information to come forward and help locate the suspects, known to have fled in an unknown direction according to a report by AMNY.
