Denver has been under the harrowing grip of gun violence with a series of shootings leaving three dead and several injured across multiple incidents. The first of three overnight shootings in Denver was reported by 9NEWS. The violence began on South Shoshone Street where one victim required hospitalization following a shooting. Shortly thereafter, a second individual was injured in a shooting on Court Place, and a third occurred on West Colfax Avenue.
In a separate incident to the north of Denver, a house party turned into a bloody scene with three fatalities. Officers rushed to the residence at Belford Drive and Bruce Lane responding to an emergency call after midnight, which escalated with multiple gunshot wounds reported. As CBS News Colorado reports, the initial chaos revealed one person dead at the scene and five others in urgent need of medical attention, two among these wounded later succumbed to their injuries at the hospital. Residents of this typically peaceful community expressed their shock, conveying the distressing change from calm to mayhem as the night unfolded.
At the same Northglenn house party, KDVR reports detailed the aftermath of the shooting. Three were killed, and others were hospitalized in varying conditions. Witnesses recounted a large gathering punctuated by violence that claimed lives among known acquaintances. The Northglenn Police Public Information Officer James Burlison said, as per KDVR, "We believe all the people involved in this incident were known to each other and attending the party."
While suspects have yet to be arrested in connection to the Northglenn party shooting, authorities are actively pursuing leads in the surrounding cities, reinforcing that, as of now, there are no known threats to the public. Metro Denver Crime Stoppers is urging anyone with information on the overnight shootings to reach out at 720-913-7867 or visit their website. Police investigations are ongoing, and the community waits with bated breath for resolution and peace to be restored after the series of shootings rocked the night.
