
A Detroit man is facing serious charges following a shooting incident at a Livonia pool hall, according to local authorities. Kamari Dushawn Parham, 25, is accused of two counts of assault with intent to murder amongst other charges in connection to the shooting that left two men injured. FOX 2 Detroit reported the incident occurred early Sunday at Snookers' Pool & Pub.
Police were called to the scene at approximately 1:20 a.m. on Sunday, where they discovered a 36-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his back at the entrance of the establishment. Not long after, officers were to quickly respond to a second victim at the nearby Holiday Inn with a leg wound; as per ClickOnDetroit, this man, a 31-year-old from Detroit, had also sustained a gunshot injury during the dispute.
The altercation that led to the shooting took place inside Snookers', where Parham allegedly drew a handgun and fired at both men. CBS Detroit notes that following the incident, both victims were transported to a hospital for treatment. Parham was subsequently arrested at the pool hall.
Due back in court on Nov. 14 for a preliminary exam, Parham was arraigned with a set bond at $1 million.
