A two-alarm fire erupted in a Sylmar neighborhood today at a two-story condominium complex, prompting a quick response from the Los Angeles Fire Department. According to a LAFD alert, smoke was seen billowing from both floors of the residence located at 13080 N Dronfield Ave at 12:53 PM.

Firefighters, aggressively working in the offensive mode, battled the blaze that started in two units with a potential leap into the attic space. Upon their arrival, they were faced with a sizable structural threat, the flames having taken residence in the pipe alley between the units, reaching for the roof with hungry intensity. The urgency of the situation led to the summon of two additional task forces, noted in a follow-up alert by the LAFD cited by a second incident update.

After what was undoubtedly a challenging ordeal, the collective efforts of 78 firefighters culminated in the knockdown of the fire.
