
The National Weather Service in Raleigh has issued a Freeze Watch from late tonight through Friday morning, with temperatures expected to drop to the upper 20s to lower 30s across central North Carolina, including Raleigh and Greensboro.
The National Weather Service warns that frost and freeze conditions could harm crops, vegetation, and unprotected outdoor plumbing. This cold spell will last briefly, followed by a sunny Friday with a high near 52°F, but wind chills may feel as low as 38°F early in the morning.
The forecast calls for gradual warming with sunny skies through Wednesday, with highs rising from 59°F on Saturday to near 69°F by Monday. Nights will be cooler, with lows in the mid-30s to mid-40s. This follows recent fluctuating weather patterns in the region.
