Keller's Planning & Zoning Commission is set to host a public hearing on a slate of new business proposals, including a request for an accessory structure for a honey company and an amendment related to garage requirements in Greenway Park. According to an official announcement by the City of Keller, the hearing will be held on December 10 at 7 p.m. in the Council Chambers of Keller Town Hall.
One of the key items on the agenda is an application submitted by Matthew Burton, representing Hive Riot Honey Company LLC, for a Specific Use Permit (SUP) to construct a 4,608-square-foot accessory structure on a lot measuring approximately 5.09 acres. This request includes a variance allowing the structure to infringe upon the existing setback requirement. The proposed site is located south of the intersection of Bear Creek Parkway and Berkshire Hill Drive.
Another SUP under consideration concerns Typewriter Justice, a vintage goods retailer seeking to operate out of a 725-square-foot space on Keller Parkway. The application, filed by Charles Justice, aims to offer a retail presence for used merchandise in a building situated at the southwest corner of Keller Parkway and Navajo Drive.
In addition, Monster Mini Golf has requested to run an Indoor Entertainment Facility from a multi-tenant building leasing 13,800 square feet. The facility would be located on Keller Parkway, near the intersection with Keller Smithfield Road—South. Brook Long heads the application on behalf of JAHCO Keller Crossing, LLC.
The last major topic for the hearing involves a request to amend the Planned Development (PD) standards for Greenway Park, specifically Garage Requirements. Spanning roughly 35 acres on the east side of U.S. Hwy. 377, the amendment was submitted by Mark Weatherford on behalf of property owner Richard J. Gibson. The extensive list of addresses affected by this proposal is included in the city's notice, which outlines all proposals up for review by the commission.
