Las Vegas will see a warming trend later this week. High pressure is expected to build over the Four Corners region after a cooler front brought breezy conditions to the Mojave Desert. Although temperatures may approach freezing on Wednesday morning, the National Weather Service has not issued a Freeze Warning.

According to the National Weather Service, temperatures dropped slightly today after the cold front passed, raising freeze concerns, but they are expected to rise starting tomorrow as high pressure takes over. While the weekend may bring gusty winds, rain and snow are more likely in the southern Great Basin. Las Vegas has less than a 10% chance of rain on Saturday night, increasing to 10-20% on Sunday, with only a slight chance of precipitation.

At Harry Reid, north winds are expected to continue through the morning, but gusty conditions will ease. Winds will be around 8-10 knots through the morning, with lighter winds expected after 17Z. Cloud cover between 15,000 and 20,000 feet will move in tonight, but no major disruptions to operations are expected.

This weekend, a low-pressure system from northern California will bring windy conditions and possible precipitation, mainly affecting central Nevada. Southwest winds are expected to be 10-12 degrees above normal on Saturday afternoon. For those who enjoy warmer weather, it will be a brief period of relief.

The National Weather Service has asked spotters to report any significant weather events following usual procedures, helping maintain the city's weather awareness.
