The Lone Tree Police Department is actively searching for two individuals in connection with a carjacking incident that occurred on Tuesday afternoon along Interstate 25. According to KDVR, the situation unfolded around 4 p.m. south of the RidgeGate Parkway exit when a stolen black Ford F350 truck engaged in a multi-vehicle collision. Subsequently, a Hispanic male driver and female passenger, both reportedly armed with a knife, forcibly commandeered another vehicle.

A woman, who had stopped due to the crash, became the suspects' target. In a chilling sequence of events that began with the crash, the suspects made to quickly drive away from the scene in her car. The female suspect assaulted the victim several times as she was compelled to drive, before being forced out of her vehicle. "The woman from the truck hit the victim several times while she was driving," as stated by 9NEWS. The victim's phone was discarded along the highway as the suspects fled.

Law enforcement agents located the stolen vehicle later in Denver near the intersection of I-25 and Interstate 70. The victim endured minor injuries during the ordeal and was subsequently treated at a hospital. As reported by The Denver Gazette, authorities have released descriptions of two suspects. The first suspect is a Hispanic male, approximately 40 years old, around 5 feet 8 inches tall, with a medium build and salt-and-pepper hair. The second suspect is a Hispanic female, estimated to be around 30 years old, standing about 5 feet 4 inches tall, also with a medium build and ponytailed black hair.
