As Douglas County gears up for the Nov. 5 General Election, a total of 21 Voter Service and Polling Centers (VSPCs) will be operational to assist voters with a range of services. Eight additional VSPC locations have been made available starting today, Nov. 4, adding to the already active 13 centers in the county, according to Douglas County.
For those who prefer to cast their votes in person or require special assistance, VSPCs provide an important service. The centers offer in-person voting, ADA-accessible machines, and ballot replacements. If you need to register to vote or update your voter registration, these centers are your go-to locale. Douglas County residents, thus have ample support to make their voices heard this election.
The VSPCs can be found across Douglas County, from the Douglas County Kirk Hall in Castle Rock to the Parker Water and Sanitation in Parker. Each one is staffed and ready to handle voter needs right through Election Day. On Monday, Nov. 4, the centers will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and on Tuesday, they will extend their hours from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. to accommodate all voters.
For residents who are yet to register, it's not too late. Colorado election law permits registration up to, and on Election Day, ensuring that all eligible voters have the chance to participate in the democratic process. Moreover, those who have already received their ballots may utilize one of the 21 secure ballot drop box locations available countywide. Open 24/7, these drop boxes offer a convenient, no-contact means to return ballots safely until 7 p.m. on Nov. 5.
It's critical for voters to remember, however, that all ballots must be received by 7 p.m. on Election Day, postmarks alone won't suffice. This deadline stands whether the ballot is mailed, placed in a ballot drop box, or submitted at a VSPC. Providing these multiple avenues for voting, Douglas County aims to ensure that every ballot counts and every voice is heard.
