Parma residents will soon welcome a new grocery shopping option, as ALDI plans to open its doors on November 21 at 8:30 a.m. The international grocery chain's newest Northeast Ohio location is taking over the former Save-A-Lot site near Day Drive, according to a WKYC report. To mark the occasion, ALDI intends to offer the first 100 customers a mix of gift bags containing "fan favorite" products and store gift cards.
To attract even more customers, ALDI has announced that during its first weekend of operation, patrons can possibly win a $500 ALDI gift card through a sweepstakes. As Corey Stucker, Hinckley vice president for ALDI, stated, "Our stores are designed to make grocery shopping smarter, faster and easier." In a statement obtained by Cleveland19, Stucker emphasized ALDI's commitment "to offering our shoppers the products they know and love at the lowest possible prices, period." Store hours are slated to be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily.
The new ALDI location, 6805 Ridge Road, is part of the company's continued expansion, building on over five years of presence in the Parma community. Reflecting a conscientious approach toward the upcoming holiday season, ALDI is also touting its lowest-priced Thanksgiving basket in five years. According to a Cleveland.com report, the meal offering for less than $50 aims to serve ten people and includes items such as a Butterball turkey, spices, gravy, rolls, mac & cheese, stuffing, and cranberries.
This latest addition to Parma's retail landscape signifies ALDI's ongoing strategy to streamline operations and keep costs down. "ALDI is positioned to help keep costs as low as possible because of our disciplined approach to operating with simplicity and efficiency," Corey Stucker told Cleveland.com. The new store's introduction is just in time to potentially ease some of the holiday season's financial stresses for local consumers.
