
An incident in Brooklyn this past Wednesday morning has left an NYPD traffic agent with injuries to his face after an altercation over a parking summon. According to PIX11, the exchange occurred near Avenue U and East 8th Street around 9:30 a.m., when a man in an orange BMW engaged in an argument with the 57-year-old traffic agent over a ticket that had been issued.
The confrontation escalated quickly, leading to the driver attacking the agent, striking him multiple times in the face before fleeing the scene in the vehicle. The agent was subsequently taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health, as reported by authorities. The police are now seeking tips from the public to help locate the assailant, who remains at large.
In a similar account, NBC New York noted that the Traffic Enforcement Agent was in uniform and on duty at the time of the incident. The attack not only caused swelling to his face and lips but also necessitated medical attention from local paramedics. The suspect's identity is currently unknown.
