The city of Raleigh is set to introduce new preschool programs targeting the development of motor skills and social connections for young children. Starting December 5, parents can sign their toddlers up for a Zumbini-style dance class at Greystone. The classes are designed for children aged 18 months to 2 years old, focusing on simple dance steps, combinations, and technical training to boost their coordination and vocabulary, while also providing a platform for building peer support among the little participants.
Scheduled for three consecutive Thursdays, the classes run from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m., according to an announcement from the City of Raleigh Parks and Recreation department. The program not only aims to sharpen the tiny dancers’ skills but, also engenders an environment conducive for parent-child bonding. Residents within Raleigh benefit from a discounted rate of $37, whereas non-residents will be required to pay $52 to enroll their children in the program.
Interested parties are encouraged to visit the program’s webpage on the City of Raleigh website for more details and registration information. With limited spots available, prompt registration is recommended to ensure a place in this enriching endeavor for the city’s preschoolers.
