A suspect has been arrested in connection with a series of shootings in Seattle that took place between October 6 and November 7. The Seattle Police Department reports that 27-year-old Khalif Myles was arrested last Friday and charged with assault and illegal possession of firearms. Myles, a convicted felon, is prohibited from owning a gun.
On November 7, a vehicle was shot at near 35th Avenue Northeast and Northeast 95th Street. A woman and a three-year-old were inside, and the child's car seat was struck by a bullet. Fortunately, neither sustained life-threatening injuries, though the child had facial abrasions. Another shooting took place on October 13 in a parking lot at the intersection of Northeast 55th Street and 25th Avenue Northeast. An individual was targeted but was able to drive away unharmed, as reported by the Seattle Police Department.
Detectives identified Myles as a suspect using witness reports and surveillance footage. After his arrest, police found four guns at his home, one of which is believed to have been used in the shootings. Myles is facing charges of assault and illegal gun possession. He is in custody while the investigation continues, as stated by the Seattle Police Department.
