If nostalgia is what you seek this holiday season, look no further than a step into an 1870s Christmas wonder available here. The historic Minor-Porter Log Cabin at Lewisville Lake Environmental Learning Area (LLELA) invites you to celebrate in a manner that's as close to time travel as it gets. On Dec. 14, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., guests can immerse in tradition by making hand-dipped candles, crafting ornaments to adorn their trees, and enjoying the melodies of carols, all while indulging in the simple pleasure of hot cider by the campfire.
As reported by the City of Lewisville, there's no need to rush or fuss with time constraints. Visitors can arrive at any point during the open hours and jump into activities at their own pace. For those worried about the logistics of such an event, fear not. Registration isn't something to concern oneself with.
Regarding access, LLELA keeps it straightforward; admission to the event is included with the standard entry fee of $5 per vehicle, payable exclusively by debit or credit card.
