Two men recently released on parole were arrested in Northern Michigan after being accused of trafficking methamphetamine within a school zone. According to a statement yesterday from Audacy, a joint task force involving the Straits Area Narcotics Enforcement (SANE), the Huron Undercover Narcotics Team (HUNT), and the Gaylord Police Department, executed a search warrant last Thursday in Gaylord.
During their operation, authorities seized not only a significant amount of drugs but also over $1,000 in cash and a vehicle. Specifics from a social media post by the MSP Seventh District detailed that the drugs amounted to at least 88 grams. The convicted persons, both 35-year-old men from Gaylord and Grayling, respectively, are now housed at the Otsego County Jail as they await arraignment.

"The Gaylord man was arrested for delivery of methamphetamine x 3 within a school zone and delivery of a schedule four narcotic in a school zone," according to details released by the MSP Seventh District. Directives stemming from the law enforcers' crackdown culminated in the Grayling man's arrest for the delivery of methamphetamine within a school zone and the translation of his vehicle into evidence as a maintained drug vehicle.
Both individuals were arrested while still under parole supervision, prompting an investigation into the full scope of their activities. They remain in custody as authorities continue their efforts to address drug-related harm in the community.
