The Bucks County Commissioners approved a $500 million Operating Budget for 2025 in a unanimous decision. The budget balances spending and income, ensuring the county’s fiscal health without raising taxes, according to the Bucks County.
Commissioner Chair Diane Ellis-Marseglia said, "The responsible stewardship of tax dollars is the most important part of our job as Commissioners – without it none of the critical services our departments provide to County residents are possible." The 2025 budget reflects the board's focus on providing essential services without increasing the financial burden on residents. Chief Financial Officer Dave Boscola recognized his team for their efforts, and the county's general fund balance is $68 million, a slight increase from $67 million at the start of 2024, showing fiscal stability, as reported by the Bucks County.
The Bucks County 2025 Budget maintains funding for key services like the Area Agency on Aging, Behavioral Health, and the Health Department, with no cuts to core services. The judiciary and nine Row Offices will also receive the planned funding. The full budget can be accessed through a link from the county.
