
Authorities in Dallas are actively seeking two individuals after a fatal car accident occurred in the University Park area near North Dallas. According to FOX 4 News, the collision between two vehicles took place at the intersection of W Northwest Highway and Turtle Creek Boulevard around midnight yesterday. The impact was severe enough to eject one person from a vehicle who subsequently died at the hospital. Witnesses reported seeing at least two males fleeing the crash site, and as of now, they have not been found. The identity of the deceased has yet to be disclosed as the investigation continues.
The incident has unsettled the local community, with residents expressing concern over the dangerous traffic conditions in the area. One resident, Kaylie Summers, recounted to NBC DFW, how her husband was jarred by the sound of the crash, which he described as being like a bomb going off. She also mentioned the debris scattered across the scene, including clothes, toys, and diapers, describing the scene as "horrific". Dawn Rejebian, another resident, highlighted the need to address the frequent accidents occurring at the intersection, elaborating that "People drive way too fast down this road," and suggesting that "that intersection at Turtle Creek and Northwest Highway needs to be closed because it's accidents there constantly."
Meanwhile, the aftermath of the crash was captured on cell phone video showing the chaotic scene. Dawn Rejebian said a friend attempted life-saving measures on the victim, stating, "And started CPR after realizing he had no pulse," she told NBC DFW. The suspect vehicle's occupants remain at large, prompting authorities to appeal to the public for any information that could lead to their apprehension.
