Tragedy struck Englewood last Friday evening as a hit-and-run crash claimed the life of a pedestrian. The incident occurred around 6:46 p.m. along the 3300 block of S. Logan Street, a mere block north of HCA HealthONE Swedish Hospital, according to KDVR. Englewood police officers, arriving at the scene, discovered the victim lying in the roadway, who was then transported to Swedish Hospital but later succumbed to their injuries.
The identity of the victim, being handled by the Arapahoe County Coroner's Office, has not been released yet. The driver responsible for the crash, having flown the site before police arrived, remains at large. Now grappling with the aftermath and absence of witnesses, investigators are seeking the public's help. To close the widening gap of this case, the Englewood Police Department has issued a call to action for anyone near South Logan Street during the time frame of the incident. Particularly, they're interested in speaking with individuals who might have seen or heard something or have camera footage that could lead to a break in the case, as reported by CBS News Colorado.
They have urged those who might have been near the stretch between East Hampden and East Floyd Streets, casting a wide net hoping to trap some shred of evidence, to contact the Englewood Police Department at 303-761-7410, as detailed by Denver7.
