The Metropolitan Police Department is currently seeking information following a stabbing in Northwest that resulted in a fatality. The incident took place yesterday in the alleyway of the 1700 block of Columbia Road.
Officers from the Third District found 25-year-old Malik Lee of Takoma Park, MD, with multiple stab wounds at around 5:31 p.m., after which he was transported to a local hospital by DC Fire and EMS. Despite best efforts by medical personnel, Lee was pronounced dead, leaving authorities in pursuit of leads.
Investigators are urging the public to come forward with any knowledge pertaining to this homicide. There is a substantial reward being offered by the MPD—a sum that could amount to $25,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the responsible individual or individuals.
The case remains open and active as detectives comb through evidence and hunt for witnesses.
