A woman from Harrison Township has been charged with a felony for allegedly biting a police officer after a deadly car crash in Warren, Michigan. The crash, involving a Ford Escape and a Chevy Silverado, occurred on Mound Rd. near Chicago Rd, as reported by Audacy.
27-year-old Diamond Leann Glenn, the driver of a Ford Escape, is accused of being under the influence during a crash that killed 69-year-old Christopher Andelean. After the accident, Glenn allegedly bit a police officer and resisted arrest when approached for injury assessment, according to The Detroit News.
Glenn has been charged with Assaulting/Resisting/Obstructing a Police Officer after a car crash, facing up to two years in prison. Her bond is set at $100,000 cash, and she must wear an alcohol tether if released. Macomb County Prosecutor Pete Lucido said, "This charge reflects the actions by the defendant towards officers after the car crash," and noted that "Our office is committed to a thorough review of all evidence, and additional charges may be authorized after the Warren Police Department finishes their investigation." Glenn's probable cause hearing is on January 2, with a preliminary exam on January 9, as stated by CBS News Detroit.
