Actor and musician Jamie Foxx encountered more drama than anticipated at his birthday dinner on Friday when a violent incident unfolded at Mr. Chow, a high-end Beverly Hills restaurant. Foxx, who was celebrating his 57th birthday, was struck in the mouth with a glass, a situation which resulted in the need for stitches. According to a statement provided to KTLA, the Beverly Hills Police Department confirmed their response to the event but did not specifically mention Foxx by name.
As reported by TMZ, witnesses say that an offending party at a nearby table was hurling insults towards Foxx, who was accompanied by his family, and upon his request for them to cease their behavior, had a glass thrown at him. They further stated that he "had to get stitches and is recovering."
