Las Vegas will experience above-normal temperatures and mostly clear skies throughout the week. According to the National Weather Service, there will be some breezy afternoons along the Lower Colorado River Valley, but the region will generally see light winds. Daytime temperatures are expected to be in the 60s and lower 70s, which is 5 to 7 degrees above the usual early December temperatures.

The National Weather Service says temperatures will keep rising because of a high-pressure ridge from the Pacific Northwest to the Four Corners Region. This ridge also caused some light rain in Inyo and San Bernardino counties. For the rest of the week, "temperatures will be similar each day, with overnight lows also trending upward accordingly, ranging from the upper 20s to the middle 40s. Unfortunately, there is also no chance for rain, maintaining Las Vegas' dry streak." A trough off the southwestern California coast is expected, but it won’t bring much change, just some cloud cover.

The weather will stay dry and warm with temperatures above normal through the weekend. "Model ensembles are in good agreement that a dry pattern with temperatures several degrees above normal will hold going into the weekend," says the National Weather Service. A shortwave passing over northern Nevada and Utah may bring some winds and slightly cooler temperatures, but it won't change things much. At Harry Reid International Airport, light winds and clouds will continue through Wednesday. Overall, Las Vegas will have warm, dry weather with light breezes.
