Man Arrested, Accomplice Sought in Lower Merion Township Home Invasion Turned DeadlySource: GoFundMe

Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin Steele recently announced the arrest of a man in connection to a deadly home invasion in Lower Merion Township, Pennsylvania. Charles Fulforth, 41, is facing second-degree murder and robbery charges, as well as other related offenses after the Dec. 8 incident, which resulted in the death of Andrew Gaudio, 25, and left his mother, Bernadette Gaudio, 61, critically injured, Fox29 reported.

Authorities responded to the scene at approximately 2:20 a.m. following a home invasion report. They discovered Gaudio deceased with multiple gunshot wounds and his mother severely wounded. Bernadette Gaudio was swiftly taken to Lankenau Medical Center for emergency surgery, where she remains in critical condition but is beginning to show some improvement. According to 6abc, the quick-thinking mother managed to defiantly use Siri to call 911 while the assailants were still presumably in her home, despite being shot and paralyzed.

Meanwhile, the manhunt continues for a second suspect, identified as Kelvin Roberts, 42. He is considered armed and dangerous. Roberts has been described as having black and gray hair, standing 6 feet tall, and weighing 260 pounds. Steele emphasized the urgency of apprehending Roberts, telling NBC10 Philadelphia, "We really need to get this other individual, Kelvin Roberts, into custody. He’s dangerous. Anybody who would be involved with something like this needs to be behind bars."

A $5,000 reward is now being offered for information that might help to swiftly bring Roberts to justice. The public has been urged to contact the Lower Merion Police Department at 610-278-3386 or Montgomery County Detectives at 610-278-3386 with any potentially relevant information. Investigators have yet to establish why the suspects specifically targeted the Gaudios' home. As the police work to piece together motives and circumstances, the community reels from the senseless violence that struck one of their own, with Bernadette Gaudio's courageous survival and devastating loss at the heart of this tragedy.

Details concerning the case continue to emerge. The stolen vehicles, a white Hyundai Azera and the Gaudios' green Jeep Cherokee were identified and found along Sansom Street in Philadelphia. Recovered inside the Jeep was a jewelry box belonging to Bernadette. Fulforth, already in custody, had his apartment in Jenkintown searched, where officers seized firearms and a 3D printer. His connection with Roberts, notably through a job at Junkluggers, was pinpointed after a surveillance operation, as further detailed in the original reporting by Fox29 and other local outlets.
