
On Christmas night in Folsom, a man was pulled from the chilly embrace of Lake Natoma's waters, having been found unresponsive. According to KCRA, the Folsom Fire Department responded to a water rescue call at approximately 10:25 p.m. near the area of the Rainbow Bridge. The man, whose identity remains unreleased, was receiving life-saving measures from the first responders, successfully reviving him before he was taken to a nearby hospital.
The Folsom Times reported that the 911 call came in at 10:19 p.m., and quickly thereafter, two fire engines, a medic unit, and a rescue boat were mobilized to the scene, accompanied by Folsom police. Radio traffic indicated that the responders managed to swiftly locate and remove the individual from the water. The circumstances leading up to him finding himself in such peril on Christmas evening, however, remain to be understood.
Upon rescue, the man was taken to the shore and into the custody of Medic 35, which facilitated his transfer to the hospital. The current state of the man's health and the details surrounding the incident are not known due to privacy regulations under California HIPPA law. Investigations are underway to ascertain the series of events that led to this near-tragic occurrence.
The Folsom Fire Department has not released more details about the incident or the man's condition. For now, the man's identity and the reasons for his late-night water mishap remain unknown.
