The incident occurred just before 1:30 a.m., with the victim managing to disembark at the 50th Street Station and subsequently receiving care at Bellevue Hospital. The police swiftly responded, and a man was taken into custody in connection with the slashing but charges had yet to quickly be filed. The suspect was found in possession of a screwdriver and a knife when he was detained, following what has been described as an argument that escalated into the assault.
