
The Metropolitan Police Department is reaching out to the public for help in tracking down several individuals connected to a recent burglary in Northeast Washington. As reported by the Metropolitan Police Department, the crime occurred earlier this month on the morning of December 4, when suspects entered and forcibly broke into a storage unit within an apartment complex situated on the 600 block of 21st Street, Northeast.
According to a release by the MPD, the burglary was reported to have taken place at approximately 7:59 a.m. where the culprits absconded with property and promptly left the scene. The police are actively seeking assistance, from those within the community who may know something about this event or can identify the culprits to come forward.
The authorities have urged anyone with information regarding the suspects or knowledge about the burglary, to refrain from directly intervening but rather, to contact the police through the designated channels. Citizens can call MPD at (202) 727-9099 or opt to send a text tip to the police department's TEXT TIP LINE at 50411, as per the Metropolitan Police Department. In efforts to encourage community members to provide tips, the MPD is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information that directly facilitates the arrest and indictment of anyone responsible for the crime.
