Madison Ave. fully engulfed with flames, which also spread to the neighboring house at 517 N. Madison Ave., escalated by strong winds.
The individual injured in the incident was working on one of the houses when it caught fire and was in critical condition when transferred to Hurley Medical Center, according to WNEM, the battalion chief of Bay City Fire Operations Division, Rick Wells, reported that "a man who was working on the house was severely injured," he is currently fighting for his life. Firefighters from several departments, including Monitor Twp. and Portsmouth joined forces to combat the blaze as it grew to involve the neighboring structure.
