Pittsburgh police are reaching out to the public in hopes of identifying a suspect involved in a series of vandalism incidents at the Frick Park Environmental Center. The call for assistance follows a string of damaging attacks on vehicles owned by the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy, as reported by WPXI.
Occurring over the last two-and-a-half weeks, three separate incidents at the Frick Environmental Center led to nearly an entire fleet of the conservancy's vehicles being vandalized, with six out of seven cars sustaining serious damage. According to the non-profit organization, the cost of the damage is estimated at around $50,000, with the likelihood of one truck being beyond repair. Released Friday by the police, surveillance photos depict a man alleged to be the perpetrator of these acts.
Anyone possessing knowledge of the suspect’s identity is encouraged to contact the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police Zone 4 plainclothes detectives. As the investigation proceeds, detectives scrutinize evidence, including shattered windows and dented doors that plague the fleet, to bring the offender to justice.
Individuals with any information are encouraged to call (412) 422-6520, as highlighted in a piece from Audacy.
