A series of robberies across King County has left authorities searching for a group of young suspects, the youngest among them being only 10 years old. Auburn Police have connected this group to an attempted break-in at a Fall City gun store, alongside several other crimes, including a midnight attempt to crash a car into a Maple Valley cannabis store, as reported by KOMO News.
In a chain of events that spanned multiple locations, including businesses in Auburn, Maple Valley, Des Moines, and Kent, the group was also involved in the theft of another vehicle and armed robberies conducted at knifepoint. "They tried to ram a car into a cannabis store, stole another car, then hit other businesses," Auburn Police's Crossley stated in an interview obtained by KIRO 7. Police have reason to believe that the suspects will eventually be caught if they continue down this destructive path, a string of actions that have placed them at the center of a surge in local crime.
The suspects range in age from 10 to 17 years old and were allegedly caught on footage during the attempted burglary at the Fall City gun store, which happened on December 4.
Authorities are particularly concerned about the involvement of a 10-year-old child who is wanted in connection to these string of King County robberies.
