A fatal drive-by shooting in Philadelphia's Germantown neighborhood left one man dead and two others injured. The violence occurred on Friday evening around 6:48 p.m. on the 100 block of Hansberry Street, where an assailant and an accomplice launched a targeted attack on the trio, according to NBC10.

Philadelphia Police detailed, in a statement obtained by NBC10, how an SUV or large sedan approached the house and gunfire erupted from the vehicle towards the dwelling, hitting nearby parked cars and shattering the glass front door, the perpetrators left the area, one shooter running until the vehicle returned to pick him up, but not before at least 15 spent shell casings were left scattering the scene.

Authorities confirmed that two of the victims, both 23-year-old men, sustained injuries: one was shot in the right arm, and the other in the right side of his neck. Both have been admitted to the hospital and are in stable condition. The third victim, a man in his early twenties, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at Temple University Hospital, as per 6ABC.

The deadly episode, which notably took place while other adults, a small child, and pets were present in the house, yet thankfully none were harmed, has thus far led to no arrests, and the Philadelphia Police continue their investigation assisted by surveillance footage; anyone with information is urged to contact the Philadelphia Police Department's Homicide Unit at 215-686-3334 or submit a tip via calling or texting 215-686-TIPS (8477), as stated by PhillyVoice.
