Las Vegas is expected to have warm and dry weather through the weekend, with above-normal temperatures. The mornings will be mild, with temperatures in the 40s and 50s in lower areas, and cooler temperatures in the 20s and 30s in the mountains. Light winds and high clouds are keeping nighttime temperatures warmer than usual. A weather system could bring cooler temperatures and stronger winds early next week, as reported by the National Weather Service.
The weather will stay mostly the same this week. In the Colorado River Valley, especially around Laughlin and Lake Mohave, there will be some gusty winds in the afternoons, but nothing severe. Waves on the lake could reach 1 to 2 feet. On Friday and Saturday, a high-pressure system will keep things stable, but there could be gusts up to 40 MPH in Laughlin. There's a 50% chance of this happening on Friday, with lower chances elsewhere. The forecast may change as the week goes on, according to the National Weather Service.
Harry Reid will experience light winds under 10 knots, shifting from southwest to northeast after 18z, with little change in speed through the evening and into Wednesday. In surrounding areas like KBIH, KDAG, and Las Vegas Valley, winds will follow a diurnal pattern, with northerly gusts of 15 to 25 knots expected along the Colorado River Valley, particularly at KEED and KIFP. Scattered to broken high clouds will persist into Wednesday morning. "Spotters are encouraged to report any significant weather or impacts according to standard operating procedures," as stated by the National Weather Service.
