Longtime staff members of Weld County were the center of attention at the recent board of commissioners meeting, where the commissioners took a moment to honor employees who have dedicated 10, 20, and even 30 years of service to the county. "The dedication we have here at Weld County from our team is second to none," Weld County Commissioner Chair Kevin Ross stated, per Weld County. During the meeting, a total of 112 employees received recognition for their steadfast service.

According to Weld County, those honored included a diverse group from 15 different departments across the county. Each department head took to quickly recognize and appreciate their team's contributions, with Jason Chessher, Director of the Weld County Department of Public Health and Environment, urging his staff "to take time to reflect and take pride" in their positive influence on the community.

The ceremonial part of the meeting featured the distribution of 10-year pins to 85 employees, 20-year pins to 16, and 30-year pins to 11. The employees who reached the impressive milestone of three decades with Weld County were Suann Haas, Kari Weber, Dustin Tanner, Jeramy Hettinger, Charlotte Debrock, Kelly Krause, Wendi Inoles, Michelle Wall, Gabri Vergara, Pamela Armfield, and Jacy Dickens.

Two retiring employees were especially celebrated. Deputy Clerk to the Board Cheryl Hoffman is stepping down after a decade of service, and Michelle Raimer closes her over 30-year tenure in human resources.
