A collaborative effort has paid off as Aledo Independent School District (AISD) grapples with the dual challenges of rising land prices and swift development. Through the cooperative endeavors of AISD, the City of Willow Park, and Parker County Emergency Services District 1 (ESD 1), two new sites have been earmarked for future educational and emergency services facilities.

Parker County Emergency Services District 1 announced on social media that the successful real estate transactions occurred during an expansion phase that has seen the AISD boundaries stretch further. The community and its leaders took the proactive step of pre-allocating funding for this land, which ensured that the fiscal demands of the new land purchase did not disturb the district's budget.

Local officials have stressed the importance of these partnerships. "With rising prices and rapid development within the 130 square miles of Aledo ISD as well as the desirability of moving to our area, land acquisition is a high priority as we look to our future,” Dr. Susan Bohn, Superintendent of Aledo ISD, stated as per the Parker County Emergency Services District 1. She acknowledged the assistance the district has received: "We are grateful for the Aledo Growth Committee’s foresight and thoughtfulness to include funding for land in the Aledo Bond 2023 proposal, for our community’s support of the Bond proposal, and for the continued dialogue with our local stakeholders and their understanding of the importance of keeping our school district thriving and growing greatness."
