Baltimore's Harbor Point is gearing up for a weekend extravaganza combining frosty artistry with Lunar New Year celebrations. According to the WMAR-2 News report, the Harbor Point Ice Festival will kick off at 11 a.m. Today and tomorrow, visitors can also partake in Lunar New Year festivities, enlivening the area with cultural performances and diverse food options.

The ice festival noted for the skilled carvers turning hefty ice blocks into marvels using chainsaws and delicate picks, promises an interactive experience. Awaiting guests eager for a photo opportunity, numerous sculptures will decorate the plaza. Chris Seiler, marketing and communications director for the Beatty Development Group, stated, as per WMAR2 News, "This is my favorite festival that we do all year." He commented on the unique city event's ability to give attendees a hands-on encounter with the ice sculptures. Also present, adding flavor to the frosty venue, will be Asia In A Bite Food Festival, which, as Seiler points out, is a hit across various Baltimore waterfront locations.

As Baltimore Fishbowl detailed, the weekend's schedule is jam-packed, peppered with live ice carving sessions, DJ sets from DJ Dagm and traditional displays such as lion dances and a Chinese orchestra. Culinary delights spanning over 30 vendors will offer authentic and fusion Asian cuisines at the Asia in a Bite Lunar New Year Celebration, embellished with handcrafted cocktails by Bar Movement. Tomorrow, the atmosphere will be further enriched by performances of traditional instruments and the Chinese orchestra, concluding with Lunar New Year giveaways.

For those needing a brief respite from the cold, an open house event invites them to explore Allied | Harbor Point, the newest residential addition to the neighborhood. Visitors can secure a parking spot at a flat rate of $10 in the Allied (Pink) Garage or Purple Lot, making access to the events hassle-free. Despite the chill, the promise of ice carving mastery, celebration of the Year of the Snake, and Harbor Point's newest residential reveal ensure a hot ticket for locals and tourists alike this weekend.
