
Last night in the Bronx, a 15-year-old boy was killed and two others, including another teenager, were injured in separate incidents, highlighting the city's ongoing struggle with violence.
According to the New York Post, the first shooting occurred outside 1491 Macombs Rd. in Mount Eden around 5 p.m. Two teenagers were targeted, possibly in a gang-related altercation.
A 15-year-old boy was shot in the chest and later pronounced dead at St. Barnabas Hospital, while a 17-year-old was shot in the abdomen and is in stable condition, as reported by abc7 New York. Three individuals fled the scene, and one person was taken into custody after a swift response from authorities.
Later that evening, an unrelated stabbing incident occurred in East Harlem, involving a 17-year-old named Carlos Rivas. Rivas was attacked near East 108th Street and 2nd Avenue, suffering fatal wounds to his chest and lower abdomen. Harlem Hospital was the destination where he was confirmed dead. Two other men, one aged 62 and the other 22, were also injured in the stabbing but were listed in stable condition.
