During his tenure with the Citrus County Sheriff's Office, K-9 Gunny proved to be an instrumental figure in various operations. He was involved not just in tracking down criminals but also in searching for missing persons. Moreover, the skilled K-9 was crucial in locating substantial amounts of illegal drugs. Throughout his career, Gunny discovered "270 grams of cocaine, 412 grams of meth, 40 grams of heroin, [and] 734 pills," according to the Sheriff's Office's tribute. The department expressed its gratitude for Gunny's "dedication and loyalty to serving and protecting Citrus County."
