Downtown Jacksonville is hitting a new high note with the introduction of Decca Live, a dynamic rooftop music venue that's gearing up to reshape the city's night scene, debuting with a highly anticipated performance by the American DJ Kaskade next Friday, January 31. According to News4Jax, the grand unveiling of Decca Live followed a ceremonious ribbon-cutting event on Thursday.

Located on 323 East Bay Street, the multi-level establishment promises an eclectic blend of genres for music enthusiasts Mayor Donna Deegan, who had the honor of participating in the inaugural ribbon-cutting, expressed her excitement at the event and cited an investment of $1.6 million by the city into the project and she enthused, "I can't wait to see a show here, and I know that a lot of you can't wait either, so I really want to thank you all for believing and investing in our city," Deegan said in a statement obtained by News4Jax. Meanwhile, the venue is described as having a rooftop bar that presents an alluring lounge ambiance with an open-air section for guests to absorb the river view.

Evan Rajta, Aleksander Lukaj, and Shawn Rouf are the brains behind Decca Live and clearly intent on offering a curated music venue for their beloved city, as Rajta explained in an interview with First Coast News: "It feels unreal, We're very excited. It's been a long time coming. We've been locals here for a while and we figured we're not going to be complainers, we're going to do something about it." With a main floor designed to accommodate around 1,000 guests and a mezzanine-style second floor, the space reflects both size and style.

The opening act featuring Kaskade, a DJ noted for his historic performance at the 2024 Super Bowl, is set to ignite the stage next Friday, January 31, marking the full-scale opening of the venue as per details shared by Action News Jax. Tickets for the event, which are openly available to individuals over the age of 18, range from $40 for early entry to $50 for general admission; this provides an inclusive atmosphere that caters to the larger Jacksonville community aiming to harness the city's growing adore for live music, not to mention the rooftop parties that promise to unravel against the backdrop of the city lights.
