Denver residents are getting a shot at influencing the health landscape of their city, through the simple act of participating in a survey. The Denver Department of Public Health & Environment (DDPHE) is rolling out the Thrive in the Mile High Survey, a streamlined process that takes less than a minute to complete. As the survey enters its final days, folks are being prompted to grant insight into their health needs and priorities, as per the City and County of Denver.

Part of DDPHE's larger Community Health Assessment, which transpires every five years, the survey aims to paint a detailed portrait of health standards, behaviors, and influences in Denver. It's an opportunity not only to flag up existing strengths and assets of the community's health system but also, to pull back the curtain on the persistent hurdles and gaps that continue to challenge residents' wellbeing. The Community Health Assessment seeks to utilize this data to better understand where Denverites might be facing barriers to optimal health.

There's a deadline in place though, all responses must be received by January 6th. DDPHE assures confidentiality, with strict adherence to data security measures that promise to keep all survey responses anonymous, without the collection of names or other personal identifiers. Accessibility is also taken into account, with the survey being available in English, Spanish, and Vietnamese.
