
Tragedy struck early this morning as one life was claimed in a crash on a major freeway in Michigan. According to WZZM 13, a 35-year-old man from Howard City lost his life in a single-vehicle accident that occurred around 4:30 a.m. on southbound US-131, just south of Post Drive.
The Michigan State Police reported that the man was driving when the vehicle veered off the road and collided with a tree in the median. Preliminary investigations suggest that the man was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision. Efforts to resuscitate were unsuccessful, and the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The Michigan State Police Sixth District has urged the public to "Please keep this family in your thoughts during this tragic time," highlighting the profound loss to the community.
