A former teacher from Christ Alone Lutheran School in Thiensville, Wisconsin, stands accused of child sex crimes following an investigation that began in November 2024. Daniel Rick, 36, faces severe allegations detailed in recent charges involving inappropriate conduct with underage students. According to FOX6 News, he is charged with child enticement-expose genitals/pubic area/intimate parts and exposing genitals/pubic area/intimate parts to a child.

Reports from The New York Post, Rick allegedly picked "favorite" male students annually and engaged in inappropriate contact, including touching and kissing. These revelations surfaced after Rick was reported to police by child services in November, with one account detailing an incident where Rick asked a 10-year-old student to come to his classroom after school to compare his physical maturity to older students, which ended in him pulling down the boy's pants.

In an attempt to rationalize his actions when confronted by parents, Rick compared himself to Jesus by claiming, "I compare it to the story in the Bible and Jesus saying, 'Let the little children come to me,'" as reported by The New York Post. This and other troubling behavior were revealed in an interview with authorities, where Rick admitted to initiating inappropriate contact with students, despite later denying it.

The investigation conducted by the Thiensville Police, which led to Rick's arrest on Friday last week, has resulted in a bail set at $100,000. As per the WTMJ report, he's scheduled for a subsequent court appearance on February 10. Following his initial court appearance, Rick received strict terms prohibiting contact with Christ Alone Lutheran School or Church and barring him from internet use and interaction with anyone under 18 years old.
