
A Highland Park man faces charges in a deadly crash that took the life of a Wayne State University employee earlier this month. According to CBS News Detroit, Antoine Lamar Bradley, 31, has been charged with one count of reckless driving causing death. The collision occurred around 8:40 a.m. last Wednesday at Woodward and Warren Avenues.
Upon their arrival at the scene, Wayne State officers discovered Sharif AliDinar, 42, of Detroit, lying unresponsive on the grass. Suffering from a head injury, AliDinar was pronounced dead at the scene. Listed as a financial aid officer with Wayne State, driving at a high rate of speed, Bradley is accused of running through a traffic signal and subsequently striking AliDinar,
Details from ClickOnDetroit state that Bradley was arraigned last Saturday and received a $50,000 bond. A probable cause conference has been scheduled for Jan. 21, followed by a preliminary examination on Jan. 28.
According to the Detroit Free Press, Sharif AliDinar, who obtained his bachelor's in business administration from Wayne State and joined the university in 2009, was known for his professionalism, dedication, and strong work ethic. WSU President Kimberly Andrews Espy described him as bringing "positivity and joy to everyone who had the privilege of working with him." The university has invited donations to the Student Emergency Fund to honor AliDinar's legacy and assist students facing unexpected hardships.
