First up on Wednesday, Jan. 8, is 'Managing Credit Card Debt', where the ins and outs of dealing with the often intimidating figures on credit card statements will be demystified. They promise a dive into resources and an analytic approach to personal financial assessment, something we could all likely benefit from. "Options for dealing with credit card debt and helpful resources will be discussed," as mentioned on Hillsborough County's website, noting the importance of a customized plan.
Come Jan. 15, 'Federal Income Tax Updates' is the session that could save some folks from tax time despair. Knowledge of credits, deductions, and those elusive new policies passed by Congress will be disseminated, with the stated goal of helping participants manage their tax liabilities, and prepare their returns with confidence. Hewing to the annual tradition of tax-filing, this webinar may be well-timed to snatch some from the jaws of April anxiety.
Rounding out the month on Tuesday, Jan. 28, is a primer on 'Free Income Tax Software and Filing', a guide through the digital jungle of tax filing. It caters to those with an adjusted gross income of up to $84,000, offering a software demo, and answers to common filing questions. UF/IFAS is partnering with the Family Healthcare Foundation and the Tampa Bay Navigator Project, to present this discussion, ensuring a breadth of knowledgeable voices.
