The search for a new City Manager in Louisville has narrowed down to four candidates, and the City Council is extending an invitation to the public for some face time. A meet and greet with the contenders has been scheduled for January 22 at the Louisville Recreation & Senior Center. This will be a chance for Louisville residents to size up the finalists and throw in their two cents.

According to the City of Louisville, Jay Harrington, Diana Langley, Sara Ott, and Jason Rogers are the ones in the running to take over the city's administrative reins. Harrington, coming from a stint as County Manager for Routt County in Colorado, brings a background in managing various Colorado towns. Langley, currently managing things over at Yuba City, California, boasts a significant engineering and public works pedigree. Colorado's Aspen has been Ott's latest managing ground since 2019, after administrative roles in Ohio, and Rogers has been holding down the fort as Commerce City's Manager since 2022, with prior economic development experience in Parker, Colorado.

For those looking to circle the date, the Louisville Recreation & Senior Center, located at 900 West Via Appia Way, will open its doors for the event from 6–7:30 p.m. It provides residents a rare opportunity, not just to see and hear from the finalists but also to weigh in with their feedback, which the City Council will consider in their subsequent decision-making process.

On what’s next after the meet-and-greet, the City Council will convene on January 27 to deliberate and hopefully choose their preferred candidate. According to the City of Louisville, this stage will involve negotiating a contract with the selected finalist before finalizing a start date for Louisville's new City Manager. Samma Fox, the current interim, will continue her managerial oversight until the new permanent City Manager takes over.
