In the early hours last Tuesday, a fatal collision occurred at the intersection of Frank Sinatra Drive and Caesars Service Drive. A report from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) detailed that at around 6:15 a.m., a southbound 2024 Hyundai Tucson and a northbound 1990 Honda CBR600 motorcycle were involved in an incident.

According to the LVMPD statement, the Hyundai, driven by 58-year-old Darwin Myers of Las Vegas, was attempting to make a left turn on a red traffic signal when it crossed into the path of the motorcycle. The 61-year-old male motorcyclist, whose identity is being withheld pending notification, attempted to avoid the collision but lost control and overturned. According to the LVMPD, Myers reported no injuries and showed no signs of impairment at the scene.

The injured motorcyclist was transported to University Medical Center (UMC) Trauma. Despite the efforts of first responders and medical staff, the rider succumbed to his injuries two days later. The Clark County Coroner's Office confirmed the death, which is the fourth traffic-related fatality in the LVMPD jurisdiction in 2025.

The LVMPD's Collision Investigation Section is continuing its investigation, and no further details regarding the cause of the crash have been released.
