The Marin County Sheriff's Office reported a significant drug bust earlier this week involving a San Francisco man accused of planning to distribute narcotics in Marin County. Nathan Picco was apprehended during an undercover operation. The detectives were tipped off about Picco's activities, and after a surveillance period, they moved last Friday, according to the Marin County Sheriff's Office.
On the scene in Marin City, where Picco was detained, detectives discovered over a half pound of suspected methamphetamine. A personal quantity of what is believed to be heroin and a collapsible baton was found on Picco's person. His offer to sell the undercover detective methamphetamine and later fentanyl had set the stage for his arrest.
It's not Picco's first brush with the law; he is already on probation for a burglary conviction in Marin County in 2022. The arrest this week adds to his legal troubles, with charges that include possession with intent for sale of controlled substances and possession of a prohibited weapon.
Following his arrest, Picco was booked into Marin County Jail with his bail set at $30,000.
