
A security guard was killed following a shooting incident at a McDonald's in northwest Baltimore on Sunday afternoon. WBALTV reported that police arrived at the 4400 block of Reisterstown Road around 4:40 p.m. after the shooting was reported. They discovered a man who was working as a security guard with gunshot wounds at the scene. Despite being rushed to a local hospital, the victim later succumbed to his injuries.
The altercation that turned fatal occurred at the restaurant's entrance, with the 38-year-old security guard caught in the crossfire, dying after being transported to the hospital. As described by CBS News Baltimore, the incident has prompted homicide detectives to take charge of the investigation.
Danitra Bell, the McDonald's local owner and operator expressed her grief over the incident in a statement. "I am in shock and completely devastated by the tragic and senseless act of violence that occurred at my restaurant this afternoon," said Bell. She conveyed her deepest and most sincere condolences to the victim's family and loved ones, especially mentioning his son, as CBS News Baltimore reported.
