In a recent bust that unfolded in the heart of downtown Seattle, law enforcement officers apprehended an individual following a suspected drug sale, resulting in the seizure of a significant quantity of fentanyl and other items. According to the Seattle Police Department, officers witnessed what appeared to be a hand-to-hand drug transaction around 8:45 p.m., which prompted a pursuit when the suspect attempted to evade arrest.
The chase ensued culminating near 3rd Avenue and Pike Street where law enforcement was able to detain the alleged perpetrator after observing him discard items on his flight, the detained individual, now in custody, faces charges of Possession/Sale/Delivery of Synthetic Narcotics and Obstructing a Public Officer, testimony to the ongoing issue of drug trafficking within the city's limits. Among the evidence collected were various quantities of fentanyl powder totaling approximately 25 grams, alongside $421.75 in cash, and a folding knife. The incident underscored a persistent drug problem plaguing Seattle's streets.
