A 14-year-old boy is fighting for his life after being shot in the leg in Philadelphia's West Philadelphia neighborhood, an incident that occurred Monday night and has left the community reeling. The teenager was discovered with two gunshot wounds on the unit block of Farson Street, as reported by FOX 29 News, the young boy's injuries were so critical that he was transported to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center by police, and there he remains in a critical condition struggling to overcome the violence that was so abruptly visited upon his young body.

Philadelphia Police's Shooting Investigation Group is currently managing the investigation, a shooting which took place just after 7 p.m. Monday in the Mill Creek section, as the boy's neighborhood and the city at large await answers, the sense of urgency for finding justice is palpable, but the investigation has so far failed to turn up a weapon or to pinpoint a suspect according to The Philadelphia Inquirer.
