An unsettling occurrence unfolded in Baltimore's Butchers Hill neighborhood on Tuesday night, as video footage revealed an Amazon delivery van striking a 29-year-old female pedestrian. According to CBS News Baltimore, the incident transpired around 9:30 p.m. when a woman traversing the crosswalk at the intersection of E. Pratt and S. Chester Streets was run over by the Amazon van as the vehicle's stoplight turned green.

The home surveillance video, captured by a motion-activated doorbell camera, shows the Amazon vehicle commencing to move forward and subsequently running over the woman. After a brief pause, the driver tragically proceeds to run her over a second time with his back wheels. Resident Josh Webster witnessed a video of the event and expressed his shock to FOX Baltimore: "That’s horrible," he said, adding, "That almost seemed fake. It's like, you don't want to believe it, you know." Following the collision, the driver is seen exiting his vehicle to assess the situation before returning to the van and driving away from the scene.

Baltimore Police Department officials reported that the victim was promptly taken to an area hospital and is expected to recover from non-life-threatening injuries. Despite the driver's actions recorded on camera, the vehicle’s Tag/ID number has yet to be identified, and authorities continue their search for the suspect.
