The City of Bellevue is partnering with the Better Cities Film Festival on March 6 to showcase short films about global efforts to create inclusive, affordable neighborhoods. The event will take place at the City Hall council chamber, with doors opening at 5:30 p.m. and screenings starting at 6 p.m., according to the City of Bellevue.
The City of Bellevue hosted a film screening this evening as part of its 2025 Affordable Housing Strategy Update to encourage discussion on affordable housing. Mayor Lynne Robinson reaffirmed the city’s commitment to the issue, stating, "Bellevue is not alone in its efforts to ensure affordable housing exists for a range of income levels.” She emphasized the importance of learning from innovative solutions worldwide and expressed interest in exploring possibilities for Bellevue. After the screening, attendees participated in small group discussions to share insights and reflect on the stories presented, marking a key step in the city’s ongoing efforts to address affordable housing.
The Better Cities Film Festival in Bellevue will feature English film screenings with captions in English, Spanish, Mandarin, and Korean.
